It's March and you know what that means... Portland Dining Month is back!
If you're unfamiliar, Portland Dining Month is a magical time of the year when the participating restaurants all create unique and delicious tasting menus from March 1st - 31st. At a fixed $33 per person for three courses, it's a great way to eat fancy at a non-fancy price point. You can pick any place you like on this list of participating restaurants.
I've been to a few places over the years and Portland Dining Month never disappoints. Trust me when I say that the hardest part is simply choosing where to go.
Laurelhurst Market has been at the top of my must-eat-at list for a while now, so I was over the moon to receive a gift card from Travel Portland to check it out. (Thank you!) I've heard so many good things about Laurelhurst Market over the years but was not prepared for how insanely excellent this experience. This was easily one of my boyfriend and my top five dinners of all time.
We ended up being able to snag a spot at the bar without reservations. It worked out in our favor this time, but I'd definitely recommend checking out Open Table well in advance as this is a busy time of the year to dine in Portland.
As for the menu, it was so good. The 10-hour braised beef practically melted in my mouth and I could wax poetry about that semifreddo. Pro tip: Opt for the additional wine pairing. It was truly the best wine pairing with any meal I've had.
Without further adieu, feast on these photos of Portland Dining Month at Laurelhurst Market.
